With the passage of the Data (Use and Access) Bill, the event marked a turning point in the UK's Smart Data journey, shifting from vision to real-world delivery.

GliaNet Alliance joined the UK's flagship Smart Data Forum as leaders across sectors gathered to chart the next chapter in data access, innovation, and public trust. With the passage of the Data (Use and Access) Bill, the event marked a turning point in the UK's Smart Data journey, shifting from vision to real-world delivery. GliaNet hosted an exhibitor table and contributed directly to the program. President Richard Whitt moderated the breakout session "Smart Data + Smart AI = Smart Agents", a forward-thinking discussion on how data and AI can empower individuals through trusted digital intermediaries. The session explored how to align innovation with ethical governance to unlock transformative value for consumers and businesses alike. Participation in this convening reinforced GliaNet's core commitment: building a human-centered web through responsible technology and fiduciary-based models of digital agency. A highlight of the event was that the Alliance was awarded the 2025 CTRL-Shift Smart Data Award, for 'Best Collaborator'.
